New Leader Onboarding Experience (Scouting America)
A blended onboarding solution designed to help new leaders understand structure, roles, and communication pathways. Included a blueprint, scenario-based eLearning module, and instructor-led orientation materials to create a more consistent and scalable onboarding experience.
Project title: Navigating Scouts Leadership
Who it was for: New Scouting America leaders who needed a consistent onboarding experience to understand role expectations, organizational structure, and key communication channels.
The onboarding challenge: New leaders often entered the role without a clear understanding of responsibilities, support pathways, or the first actions required for success. Existing onboarding resources were fragmented, inconsistent, and difficult to scale across audiences.
What you designed: A blended onboarding solution that included a learning blueprint, scenario-based eLearning, storyboarded learner interactions, prototype screens, and instructor-led orientation materials.
Your role: I led the end-to-end instructional design process, including needs analysis, learning architecture, storyboard development, scenario writing, visual planning, and prototype design.
The outcome or value: The solution created a clearer, more scalable onboarding experience that improved role readiness, reduced confusion, and helped new leaders ramp up with greater confidence.
